Since
the introduction of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, thousands of innocent
dogs have been mercilessly killed. However, due to the determined efforts
of a small group of dedicated campaigners, an AMENDMENT ACT was introduced
in 1997. This provided some discretion for the courts.
However,
many released dogs are often in need of urgent Veterinary attention due
to inadequate care in the secret holding kennels and their distraught owners
are not always in a position to pay for the necessary treatment.
Also various
mongrels and crossbreeds have been forced onto the Index of Exempted Dogs,
by the Courts, not for any misdeed, but purely for the way they look. This
involves a Registration fee plus an Insurance fee. Victims of the Act are
therefore victimised even further financially.
We have been
giving in-depth help since day 1 of the DDA and travelling to Courts throughout
the Country providing support. We will continue campaigning to get this
Act repealed.
THE "FURY"
DEFENCE FUND was set up specifically with these people in mind and is a
non-profit making organisation.

THOSE MOST IN NEED.
